CNSC Webinar
The CNSC will host a webinar on the licence renewal for BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada (BWXT NEC) and beryllium sampling in Peterborough. CNSC staff will be available to answer questions about the sampling they performed on properties near BWXT’s Peterborough facility in July 2020.
The webinar will be hosted twice: once in the morning and once in the evening.

Picket at BWXT
Our bi-weekly picket occurs at BWXT . Please wear a mask and dress for the weather. Bring your own sign or use one from our stock. Let BWXT and the public know that the plan to modify this plant to manufacture radioactive fuel pellets for use in nuclear reactors is unacceptable.
CNSC Hearings
CNSC public hearings are being held to allow Peterborough citizens to voice their concerns regarding BWXT’s plans to revise its license thus enabling BWXT to perform uranium pelleting in Peterborough. These hearings are YOUR opportunity to voice your opposition to uranium dust in our city. You can read your intervention at this hearing or have it read into the record for you.
The start and end times for this hearing will depend upon the volume of interventions. We hope that CNSC officials are kept here until late on Friday evening!!!
